Our Story

Midnight Bail Bonds opened in 2015 with a simple premise: families calling a bail agency at 2 a.m. deserve a licensed human being who answers, explains the cost honestly, and knows the building their loved one is sitting in. A decade later that hasn't changed — we've just gotten a lot better at it, and we cover a lot more ground.

Today we're recognized as one of the largest bail bond agencies in California, writing bonds across San Bernardino, Riverside, Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego counties. Our agents work daily with attorneys, court clerks, and jail staff, which is the difference between a bond that posts tonight and one that sits in a queue.

Bail in California is a regulated business, and we treat it that way. Premiums are filed with the California Department of Insurance, every agent is licensed, and every number we quote traces back to a published county bail schedule or a judge's order.

Our Mission

We believe our responsibility extends past the bond. Posting bail is one night; what happens afterward — court dates, work, childcare, keeping a family stable — is the part that actually matters. So we explain the process in plain language, keep clients on top of their appearances, and point people to real help when it's outside what a bail agency can do, including the state's criminal law self-help center.

Our mission is simple: help people, strengthen communities, and provide dependable service with integrity at every step. Whether you need a bond tonight or just want to understand how bail pricing works before you call, we're a resource either way.

What Sets Us Apart

Six things families notice within the first phone call.

One of California's Largest Bail Agencies

Size means experience, resources, and the ability to move on a bond at 3 a.m. without waiting on an underwriter in another state to wake up.

Relationships Across The Justice System

We work daily with attorneys, court clerks, and jail staff at the facilities listed in our jail directory and courthouse directory. Knowing who to call keeps a release moving.

Honest, State-Set Pricing

California sets the bail premium at 10% of the bond under Cal. Ins. Code §1800. We don't inflate it or bury fees — run your own numbers with our bail bond calculator.

Flexible Payment Plans

Most families don't have thousands on hand overnight. We write 1% down and affordable payment-plan bonds for qualified co-signers.

No Collateral In Most Cases

Many bonds are written on signature and premium alone — see no-collateral bail bonds for how qualification actually works.

Real Local Knowledge

Exact facility addresses, which court hears which charge, and how release timing differs county to county — written page by page, not scraped from a national template.

How We Work A Bond

The same five steps every time, whether the bail is $5,000 or $500,000.

Locate The Defendant

We confirm booking facility, charges, and bail amount first. You can start on our inmate search page or just call and let an agent look.

Confirm The Bail Amount

Bail is set by the county schedule or by a judge. We read the current schedule for LA, Riverside, San Bernardino, or Orange County before quoting anything.

Paperwork And Down Payment

Indemnitor application, bond, and premium agreement — signed in the office or entirely online if you can't get to San Bernardino.

Posting And Release

An agent posts at the jail or courthouse. Release timing depends on the facility's processing queue, not on us — we tell you the realistic window up front, day or night, because we run 24-hour service.

Court Dates And Follow-Through

We remind clients of appearances and help fix problems before they become warrants. If a date is already missed, start at failure to appear.

Community Commitment

When you choose Midnight Bail Bonds you're choosing a team that believes in second chances. We invest in the communities that trust us — youth programs, school partnerships, sponsorships, holiday giveaways, and educational outreach across the Inland Empire and beyond.

That commitment shows up in the site too. The courthouse and jail directories exist because families kept calling with the same questions about addresses, visiting rules, and which court hears which case. Those pages are free to use whether you ever hire us or not.

Where We Serve

Five Southern California counties, all worked out of our San Bernardino office.

From San Bernardino we post at every jail and courthouse in this region — a few minutes away or an hour's drive. Each county hub lists the cities, courts, and facilities we cover there, and each county publishes its own bail schedule: San Bernardino, Riverside, Los Angeles, and Orange.
